Private Firearms Coaching

More Than a Lesson. Ongoing Development Built Around You.

A Private Firearms Class teaches you skills.

Private Firearms Coaching develops you as a shooter.

At Majeed Guns & Firearms School, Private Coaching is designed for students who want individualized attention, measurable improvement, and an instructor who can follow their development over time.

Rather than attending a single class with a predetermined curriculum, coaching begins with you—your current abilities, weaknesses, equipment, experience, objectives, and the areas where you want to improve.

Private Class vs. Private Coaching

There is an important difference.

A Private Firearms Class generally has a defined curriculum and a beginning and end. You may book a private beginner class, permit class, rifle class, or other course and receive individual instruction covering that particular subject.

Private Coaching is performance-focused.

Your instructor evaluates where you are now, identifies areas that need improvement, establishes goals, provides individualized instruction, and can measure your progress from session to session.

Think of it like working with a personal trainer, golf professional, or private athletic coach—but for shooting.

Who Should Consider Private Coaching?

Private coaching isn't reserved for advanced shooters.

It can benefit:

New Shooters who want to build strong fundamentals from the beginning.

Intermediate Shooters who have reached a plateau and aren't sure what's preventing further improvement.

Experienced Shooters looking to refine consistency and identify small deficiencies that are difficult to diagnose independently.

Permit Holders who completed their required training but want substantially more instruction before practicing independently.

Firearm Owners who want greater familiarity and confidence with a particular firearm.

Competitive Shooters who want focused practice and measurable performance development.

Students Preparing for Qualifications who want structured preparation and objective performance assessment.

Returning Shooters who haven't trained recently and want professional evaluation before getting back into regular practice.

When Should You Hire a Firearms Coach?

Consider private coaching when you find yourself saying:

“I'm practicing, but I'm not getting better.”

“My groups aren't as consistent as I want.”

“I don't know what I'm doing wrong.”

“I want someone to evaluate my fundamentals.”

“I bought a new firearm and want to become proficient with it.”

“I've taken classes, but now I want individualized development.”

“I want measurable goals rather than simply shooting ammunition at the range.”

That's where coaching becomes valuable.

Stop Practicing Mistakes

Practice alone doesn't automatically produce improvement.

Repeating an inefficient technique can simply reinforce it. One of the greatest advantages of having a professional coach is having another person observe your performance in real time.

Your coach can evaluate fundamentals such as stance, grip, sighting, trigger control, follow-through, consistency, equipment setup, and practice habits, then provide immediate feedback.

Instead of wondering why something isn't working, you have someone there specifically to help identify the issue.

Your First Coaching Session

Private coaching can begin with an assessment.

We evaluate your current experience, discuss your goals, observe your fundamentals, and identify areas that deserve additional attention.

From there, we can develop a training direction specifically for you.

There is no need to pretend you're more experienced than you are. An accurate understanding of your starting point allows us to build a better training program.

Set Goals. Measure Progress.

Good coaching should have direction.

Depending upon your objectives, we can establish measurable benchmarks and periodically evaluate your development.

Your coaching program can focus on areas such as:

Firearm fundamentals • Accuracy and consistency • Firearm familiarity • Equipment setup • Range confidence • Marksmanship • Qualification preparation • Precision shooting fundamentals • Competition preparation • Structured practice

The objective isn't simply to fire more rounds.

It's to make your training time more productive.

One Session or an Ongoing Coaching Program

Not everyone needs the same commitment.

Book a single coaching session when you want a professional evaluation or help addressing a specific problem.

For students serious about improvement, we can establish an ongoing private coaching relationship with recurring sessions and progressive goals.

This allows your instructor to become familiar with your shooting, equipment, strengths, weaknesses, and progress instead of starting over with a different instructor every time.

Your Instructor. Your Goals. Your Progress.

A group class has to serve the group.

A private class serves one student but generally follows a particular curriculum.

Private coaching revolves around your development.

There is no pressure to keep pace with another student and no need to spend an entire session covering material you've already mastered.

We can spend more time where you need it most.

Don't Just Shoot More. Train Better.

A case of ammunition can give you hundreds of repetitions.

A good coach can help make those repetitions purposeful.
