Notary Public Services

Professional, Convenient & Available On-Site

Majeed Guns & Firearms School provides convenient Notary Public services on-site for customers who need documents properly notarized. We maintain multiple commissioned Notaries Public on-site, helping us provide prompt service without requiring you to search for a separate notary or schedule another stop.

Whether you need a single signature notarized or have several documents requiring notarial acts, our goal is to make the process efficient, professional, and convenient.

Documents From Any State

A Connecticut Notary Public is not limited to notarizing documents simply because the document was created in Connecticut or will ultimately be filed in Connecticut.

Generally, a Connecticut notary may perform an authorized notarial act while physically located in Connecticut on a document that is intended to be filed, submitted, recorded, or used in another state.

This makes our service particularly convenient for customers completing out-of-state permit applications, licensing documents, affidavits, authorizations, and other paperwork destined for agencies throughout the United States.

What Does a Notary Public Do?

Notarization adds an important layer of identity verification, formality, and fraud deterrence to important documents.

Depending on the type of notarial act required, a Notary Public may verify the identity of the person appearing before the notary, witness or acknowledge a signature, administer an oath or affirmation, and complete an official notarial certificate.

A notarization does not prove that every statement contained within a document is true, nor does it mean that the notary has approved the document or provided legal advice. Rather, the notary performs the specific notarial act required by law.

Our Notarial Services

Depending upon the document and the notarial act requested, our Notaries Public can provide services including:

Acknowledgments — The signer personally appears before the notary and acknowledges that they signed the document voluntarily for its stated purpose.

Jurats / Verification on Oath or Affirmation — The signer appears before the notary, signs as required, and swears or affirms that the statements contained in the document are true.

Oaths & Affirmations — A notary can administer an oath or affirmation when one is required for an affidavit, declaration, application, or other authorized purpose.

Signature Witnessing — When an appropriate notarial certificate calls for it, the notary can witness the execution of a document and complete the applicable notarial act.

Certified Copies in Permitted Circumstances — Connecticut notaries may perform certain copy-certification functions when authorized by law. Some vital records and other official documents require certified copies to come directly from the government agency or custodian of the record and cannot simply be certified by a notary.

Identification & Personal Appearance

Proper identification is an essential part of the notarization process. Depending on the circumstances and type of notarization, you may be required to personally appear before the Notary Public and provide satisfactory identification.

For the smoothest experience, bring a current government-issued photo ID along with the complete document that needs to be notarized. If the document contains specific instructions for the notary, bring those instructions as well.

Do not sign a document in advance if its particular notarial act requires the signature to be made in the notary's presence. Our notary can review the notarial certificate and explain the procedural requirements before the notarial act is performed.

Why Notarization Matters

Many important documents require notarization because the receiving agency or organization wants an independent official to perform a prescribed verification surrounding the execution of the document.

A properly completed notarization can help establish who appeared before the notary, what type of notarial act was performed, and when and where that act occurred.

For applications involving government agencies, licensing authorities, business transactions, sworn statements, and other important matters, an improperly completed notarization can result in a document being rejected or returned for correction. We take the process seriously and focus on completing the notarial act accurately and professionally.
